Sale
The sale of e-cigarettes, flavored cigarettes, e-liquids, and roll-your-own tobacco is banned in Ukraine, effective July 11, 2024.
Use
E-cigarettes are prohibited in places where smoking is not allowed, such as public transportation, most indoor public spaces, and workplaces. However, e-cigarettes are permitted in designated smoking areas at airports, which must be no more than 5% of the airport's total area.
Packaging
All tobacco product packages must include combined medical warnings.
Reporting
Manufacturers and distributors of e-cigarettes and tobacco products are subject to stricter reporting requirements.
Vitamin vapes
The law also bans vaping products known as vitamin vapes, which are considered to have unproven health claims.
The ban on e-cigarettes and other tobacco products is part of a broader effort to reduce nicotine addiction and protect public health in Ukraine.
In addition to the laws, some universities in Ukraine have collected used e-cigarettes from students and repurposed them into power banks for soldiers on the front lines.
