The aerial part of Andrographis Paniculata, used medicinally, contains a large number of chemical constituents, mainly lactones diterpenoids, diterpene glycosides, flavonoids and flavonoid glycosides. Andrographolide is the major constituent extracted from the leaves of the plant.
